Standing at a grill fixated on cooking — on creating! — was an impossible task. You had to depend on the kindness of friends and family to run and retrieve things you had forgotten in the kitchen. A quick grab for the tongs could mean spilling your beer. The spice was flowing… on the ground when you dropped it. That was, until the Tactical Apron was born. Emblazoned with the title CHEF and equipped with a MOLLE system, you’ll feel like a Soldier of Beef.
Loaded with MOLLE webbing, pouches, adjustable straps and velcro patch panels, the Tactical BBQ Apron is a necessity for any father executing tactical backyard barbeque operations. It comes in black, is 100% cotton, is machine washable and can be purchased online for about $35 at thinkgeek.com.

Body armor systems can be found serving in military combat zones, with law enforcement agencies on the daily beat and even protecting the discerning citizen in a home defense situation. I recently traveled to Bend, Oregon to compete at the Crimson Trace Midnight 3-Gun Invitational and report on the event for Guns & Tactics Magazine. It’s the only match of its kind, taking place on the Oregon high desert with competitors shooting in the dark of night into early morning using lights and lasers.
