All of BHA’s popular big-bore firearms will be available for hands-on testing by the press and retail, wholesale, and law enforcement purchasing agents on Jan. 17, 2022.

Cody, Wyo. (January 2022) – Big Horn Armory (BHA), makers of big-bore firearms, will have all of its most popular big-bore firearms at the 2022 Industry Day at the Range™ for the press and retail, wholesale, and law enforcement purchasing agents to experience hands-on testing. The event will be held at the Boulder Pistol and Rifle Club in Boulder City, Nevada, on Jan. 17, 2022. The rifles on the range will include various flavors of the Model 89, the only repeating rifle in the powerful 500 S&W Magnum, as well as the most powerful AR rifle and pistol ever produced, the AR500. BHA will also be providing a sneak peek to attendees of its soon-to-be-released tactical lever-action rifle.
BHA is not your average gun manufacturer. Founded in 2008 with the goal of designing a Browning-type lever-action gun, chambered in 500 Smith & Wesson Magnum, BHA builds guns that give us a reason to jump out of bed in the morning, and for us, that means the bigger the better.
The first gun to start shipping in Sept. 2012 was the Model 89. The design closely follows the work of Browning, with some modern metallurgy and machining techniques. BHA was so enamored with the power of the 500 Smith & Wesson in a rifle, that it decided to keep going big with the AR500.
The AR500 rifle is an AR rifle like no other. Chambered in 500 Auto Max, BHA’s groundbreaking AR500 Rifle is the most powerful AR firearm available. BHA’s bold AR design and big bore 500 Auto Max cartridge put an unparalleled amount of power into a pleasant shooting, rapid firing, versatile rifle. This combination of size, familiar manual-of-arms, available accessories, and energy on target make the AR500 Rifle ready to handle almost any situation. The AR500 is also available in a braced-pistol configuration: the AR500 semi-auto pistol.
Whether it’s packing 36,800 ft. lbs. of energy in a lever-action, or building the most powerful AR on the market, BHA’s goal is to give the customer the biggest bang for his or her buck.
Industry Day at the Range is owned and operated by CMG Marketing & Events and Triple Curl Advertising and PR. Held annually the day before the opening of SHOT Show®, Industry Day provides invited members of the press and retail, wholesale, and law enforcement purchasing agents the opportunity for hands-on testing of firearms, ammunition, and related accessories being introduced to the consumer market during SHOT Show. In 2020, more than 2,000 media members and buyers joined 200 exhibitors at the shooting and hunting industry’s marquee event located 30 minutes from downtown Las Vegas. The National Shooting Sports Foundation is the title sponsor of the Industry Day at the Range.
Media members and buyers attending Industry Day at the Range can set up appointments to try BHA’s big-bore firearms by contacting Matt Foster at [email protected].

Big Horn Armory was founded in 2008 with the expressed intention of designing a Browning-type lever-action gun chambered in 500 Smith & Wesson Magnum. The Big Horn Armory Model 89, made in America, closely follows the work of John Browning with refinements courtesy of modern metallurgy and machining capabilities. The first rifles began shipping in September of 2012 and since then, BHA has added to their big bore lineup with a Model 90 Carbine in 460 S&W, the Model 90A in 454 Casull, the Model 90B in .45 Colt, the Model 89A in 500 Linebaugh and the Model 89B in .475 Linebaugh. In 2017, Big Horn Armory took a departure from its lever-action series and developed the AR500 Auto Max, the most powerful short-range, semi-auto based on an AR .308 platform.
