Pistol magazine technologies to enhance company’s defense capabilities
WARWICK, RI — (gunsandtactics.com) — ATW Companies, a leading provider of engineered metal manufacturing solutions, announces the acquisition of Metalform Company, a New Britain, CT-based gun magazine manufacturing firm, by A.T. Wall, ATW’s precision stamping and tube drawing subsidiary. The newly established team will combine ATW’s experienced, responsive engineering and fabrication team with Metalform’s innovative gun magazine manufacturing capabilities. The team will focus on world class quality and delivery to the firearms industry, from components to finished accessories.

The acquisition of Metalform’s deep-drawing, stamping, and pistol magazine fabrication capabilities supports ATW’s vertical integration into the rapidly growing firearms and defense industries. Among Metalform’s top products are 38 caliber, 45 caliber, and 9 mm magazines, supplied to many top firearms industry companies. Metalform’s key sales and operations personnel will be joining the new team to ensure that the business transition and manufacturing integration will be seamless to customers.
“Metalform will be joining a strong firearms and defense team with expertise in a variety of technologies, including precision CNC machining, Metal Injection Molding (MIM), laser cutting, precision metal tubing, and stamping,” said Tracy MacNeal, ATW’s director of business development. “ATW serves nearly all the major firearms players, always striving to be accessible to customers, hit tight tolerances, and resolve complex issues using their extensive expertise and diverse manufacturing capabilities.”
