OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – May 3, 2022 – Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, is celebrating record-setting achievements by team shooters KC Eusebio and Jessie Harrison at the 2022 Palmetto State Armory World Speed Shooting Championships. Eusebio is the first shooter in history of the sport to win nine World Speed Shooting titles while fellow teammate Harrison became the first woman to claim the Overall Steel Master award.
In the Main Match, Bushnell pro KC Eusebio won the High Overall title and first place in the Open division. It’s his ninth World Speeding Shooting Title, a record which no other shooter has accomplished. Throughout the competition, Eusebio was equipped with a Bushnell First Strike 2.0 reflex sight.
“It’s an amazing feeling to capture my ninth world speed shooting title,” said Eusebio. “This match has been a part of my life since I was nine years old and to set the record for the most wins is truly a childhood dream come true. What’s even better is that I’ve used the same Bushnell red dot to win the last three titles and I see no reason it can’t help me with a tenth! Also, a big thank you to my Bushnell family for their unconditional support.”
Meanwhile, Bushnell and Hoppe’s pro Jessie Harrison made waves by becoming the first woman to win the coveted Overall Steel Master award, which is given to the competitor with the best aggregate score for two centerfire divisions and one rimfire division.
“In my opinion, this is one of the hardest titles to earn, aside from the overall title,” said Harrison. “You’re not only trying to place well in one division, but three. I’ve watched legendary shooters win this cup over the 17 years I’ve been shooting this sport, and I’m so honored to have earned it.”
In addition to the Steel Master award, Harrison placed High Overall Lady, third Overall Open and second Overall Single Stack (where she set a new Ladies world time record). Harrison also shot her Bushnell First Strike 2.0 reflex sight during the Open match. Both Eusebio and Harrison opted for the Bushnell RXS-250 in the Rimfire competition.
Sponsored by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association and the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), the World Speed Shooting Championship is considered one of the most competitive and prestigious handgun competitions in the world. This year’s match took place April 27 to May 1 at CMP Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama.
