Joe Fanizzi, Competitive Sporting Clays Shooter Phenom, Joins Team Winchester
EAST ALTON, IL (February 18, 2022) – Winchester Ammunition is proud to announce that competitive sporting clays shooter, Joe Fanizzi, has signed a deal to represent its legendary brand. On the heels of a successful 2021 shooting year that saw the young Fanizzi take home the National Championship, Joe has his eyes set on the major events occurring on this year’s NSCA Championship Tour Powered by Winchester.
“I am extremely honored to represent the legendary Winchester brand, as well as be a part of Team Winchester, which includes an incredible list of talented sport shooters and individuals,” said Fanizzi. “Winchester does amazing work in promoting the shooting sports and working to grow participation. I’m excited to help where I can and continue to compete at a high level with the famous AA shotshells.”
Fanizzi is now a freshman at Texas A&M University. He started shooting at a young age and at age 13, he had punched into Master Class, an incredible accomplishment for a young shooter. Since then, Fanizzi has accumulated many major titles and he currently represents the United States in International competition as the Captain of the USA Sporting Clays Junior Team.
In 2021, Fanizzi won the NSCA National Championship, the 2021 Diamond Classic and Southeast Regional. He was also High Overall in the North Central Regional Championship and also runner-up at the World FITASC held in Budapest, Hungary.

Fanizzi will shoot the famous Winchester AA® shotshells in training and competitions. He joins a stacked team of competitive Team Winchester sporting clay shooters including Anthony Matarese, Zach Kienbaum, Desirae Edmunds, Rollins Brown, Theo Ribbs, Kemble DuPont, Mike Wilgus, Kayla Wilgus, Eric Harvey and Connor Daniel.
Various members of Team Winchester, including Fanizzi, are competing during the Jack Link’s Cup, February 15-20, at the Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee, FL. The NSCA Championship tour Powered by Winchester kicks off in April at the Western Regional in Tucson, AZ.
