Magpul Adds New Fitments to ELG Handguard

The original Magpul Enhanced Lever Gun (ELG) Handguard only fit Marlin’s model 1895 in .45-70. The ELG has now been updated to fit all modern Marlin lever guns (including those made by Ruger and Remington) with a forearm end cap in all current chamberings.

These include the 1895 in .45-70 Govt; 1894 in .357 Mag./.38 Spl, 10mm Auto, .44 Mag./.44 Spl and .45 LC; and 336 in .30-30.

For lever-gun enthusiasts, that means one handguard will now fit the 1895, 1894, and 336 models with a simple clamp swap to fit the proper magazine tube. The ELG features signature M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions and incorporates a built-in handstop. It is compatible with both Type 1 and Type 2 Magpul rail covers to preserve a clean appearance and the classic lever gun aesthetic.

You can now have one foot firmly in both the old and new schools and bring your favorite lever platform into the 21st century; pair the ELG with Magpul’s ELG Stock, which already fits all Marlin lever-action rifles, for a modern rendition of the open-range classic. The stock also installs easily with simple tools and features LOP adjustments from 12.5 to 14 inches in half-inch increments.

An included cheek riser, shims, and hardware allow the user to customize comb height for use with optics or iron sights. The stock integrates a weatherproof latching storage compartment under the cheek piece that includes removable six-round ammo quivers for both .45-70 and .30-30 cartridges, or it can be used for other items like a cleaning kit, batteries, or other small parts.
