Military Armament Corporation’s MAC IX is a direct-blowback, semi-automatic PCC designed in the USA—Knoxville, Tennessee. It features an AR-style pistol grip and a Picatinny-style rail along the length of the top for easy optics mounting.
The lower and upper receiver portions are crafted from tough 7075-T6 aluminum with a slick black anodized finish, it features a 6.5-inch barrel, and the aluminum forend incorporates M-LOK slots for additional accessory mounting.
The barrel’s business end features ½-28 threading for mounting of aftermarket muzzle devices as well as a tri-lug configuration on the included flash hider for additional muzzle device mounting options.
Removeable, click-adjustable guarded front and rear sights are included with the setup. In addition to the AR-style grip, the MAC IX has an ambidextrous charging handle and familiar two-position safety switch, an ergonomic paddle-style magazine release, AR-style quick-takedown pins for easy field stripping, and a spring-assist ejection port dust cover.
At the rear, a vertical Picatinny-style rail allows for easy mounting of a compatible pistol brace of your choosing.
Overall length measures in at just under 16 inches (15.97), and the MAC IX tips the scales at right around 5 pounds. This compact firearm ships with two metal MP5 magazines, a cleaning kit, cable lock, an extra mainspring retainer pin, and a premium, lockable hard case.
About MAC: Military Armament Corporation, an SDS Arms brand, traces its roots to the era of the resurgence of American resolve, when the USA once stood between the massed divisions of the Soviets and our allies in western Europe, hunted drug cartel kingpins in South America, and being called a communist was the greatest insult imaginable.
Many of the company’s products pay homage to the weapons carried by small groups of men tasked with carrying out new missions in units forged from the hard-learned lessons of the previous decades. Missions like counter terrorism, Direct-Action, and counter narcotics.
While the company takes inspiration from the days of caterpillar mustaches, Thomas Magnum and Sonny Crockett, MAC’s contemporary products represent the cutting edge of technology in design and manufacturing for government and commercial clients.
