New Leica X2 Digiscoping Adapter
Leica Sport Optics introduces the Leica X2 Digiscoping Adapter for easily attaching Leica X2 compact digital cameras to Leica APO-Televid 82 and APO-Televid 65 spotting scopes. The combination of high-performance digital technology ‘Made in Germany,’ plus the optical excellence of the high-performance spotting scopes, ensure exceptionally impressive digiscoping results.
Leica is the only premium-segment optical systems manufacturer to offer a complete system for digiscoping applications – from Leica cameras and adapters to high-performance APO-Televid spotting scopes. All individual components are perfectly matched, enabling users to capture impressive photos that are otherwise only possible with special telephoto lenses mounted on premium SLR cameras.
The Leica X2 compact camera opens up entirely new dimensions in digiscoping. Together with a professional sensor unusually large for a camera in this class, the camera’s high-performance Leica Elmarit 24mm f/2.8 ASPH. lens delivers optimum image quality. Numerous automatic functions ensure extremely simple camera handling, and the 35mm prime lens (35mm equivalent) makes use with the Leica APO-Televid spotting scope particularly easy. The adapter is simply screwed into the filter thread of the Leica X2 and locked in place on the spotting scope eyepiece via a setting screw. No other adjustments to the camera are required.
