Primary Weapons Systems (PWS) has recently hailed the return of the MK2 in the form of the MK2 MOD 2-M rifle. Offered in both 16-inch and 18-inch barrel configurations, it’s engineered to deliver .308 Win. performance in a refined, piston-driven platform backed by the PWS sub-MOA accuracy guarantee.
Each rifle is centered on a 41V50 stainless steel barrel chambered in .308 Win. with a 1:10 twist, which is engineered to stabilize a wide range of projectile weights. The 16-inch configuration offers a more compact, maneuverable footprint suited for patrol or field use, while the 18-inch model delivers added velocity and extended-range capability.
With quality match ammunition, both barrel lengths are guaranteed to shoot sub-MOA.

At the core of the platform is PWS’s proven long-stroke piston operating system with a 3-position adjustable gas regulator. Intended for both suppressed and unsuppressed configurations, the system is designed to vent excess gas forward to reduce fouling in the receiver and keep operating temperatures down.
The patent-pending Bore Evacuator further manages gas at the muzzle through an expansion chamber that redirects excess pressure via a venturi effect.
Both variants ship with the FRC 3 Port compensator for recoil and flash mitigation; the comp is compatible with PWS PUB suppressor mounts and other common HUB taper-mount adaptors. A semi-monolithic, free-float M-LOK rail secured by a proprietary barrel nut enhances rigidity and supports consistent accuracy.

Each rifle also features a 7075-T651 forged MOD 2-M proprietary upper with forward assist and a matching forged lower with fully ambidextrous bolt release and magazine release controls.
Premium components include a Radian Raptor charging handle, Radian Talon ambidextrous safety selector, Mil-Spec Enhanced PTFE-coated trigger with a 5.5 to 6.5-lb. pull weight, Magpul MOE-SL stock, PWS signature pistol grip, and Magpul 20-round PMAG.
Both models are finished in MIL-A-8625 Type III hardcoat anodizing.
With 16 and 18-inch options, and a straightforward sub-MOA guarantee, the MK2 MOD 2-M delivers practical precision in a durable, piston-driven .308 platform.
