NSSF® has been working on your behalf this session to kill a multitude of anti-firearm industry bills at the legislature and inform you about all legislation impacting your business and the industry in general. During this entire legislative session, NSSF has kept you up to speed on multiple pieces of legislation that would have detrimental consequences for the firearm industry.
SB 5078, which if passed would allow frivolous lawsuits to be brought against firearm manufacturers, retailers and virtually anyone else in the supply chain, is up for a vote today, Thursday, March 2, 2023, in the Washington State Senate.
In what’s becoming the norm in Olympia, the legislature is attempting to bring the legislation to the floor in a clandestine way to avoid the massive uproar and well-deserved scrutiny a bill of this nature would attract.
NSSF needs your help! Please contact your legislator and urge them to vote ‘No’ on SB 5078!
You can find your legislator by clicking here.
NSSF’s Government Relations team is committed to defeating all egregious bills this session and will provide updates on the situation as the session unfolds. More bills are moving through the legislature and we’ll be updating you on the House of Representatives later today.

In January I was introduced to Oakley’s new Tombstone eyewear system and since then I have been shooting with them on a weekly basis. I’ve been a loyal Oakley sunglasses wearer for decades (yes, I’m wearing Oakley Wiretaps on my head as I write this) and have enjoyed their shooting glasses for just as long. The improvements Oakley incorporated into this new Tombstone eyewear, however, are truly game-changing in the shooting sports world, both literally and figuratively… and this new eyewear system has just been released to the public.
