We’ve recently become unapologetic fans of Woox, a company that popped up on our radar for pairing slick tactical design with fine woodworking craftsmanship that hearkens to an older time. We’re used to seeing so much metal and polymer in this space that a return to this type of traditional gun furniture craftsmanship is, frankly, a breath of fresh air.
Woox is a manufacturer of Italian/American-made gun stocks, axes and knives. These are crafted with the finest materials using the latest cutting-edge technology to produce the kinds of products that are scarce in the market today.
Further expanding its lineup, Woox has introduced a line of 1913-compaticle stocks, engineered for firearms featuring a rear 1913 receiver interface, e.g., MP5-style platforms.
According to Ben Fleming, Woox USA CEO: “Firearms with 1913 attachments deserve furniture that matches their precision and performance. This new line of stocks represents the blend of innovation and heritage into functional art for the modern-day user.”

We couldn’t have put it better. With the merging of fine Italian craftsmanship and reliable American engineering, the new Woox line offers a premium buttstock upgrade built around precision, modularity, and design excellence.
The result is furniture that blends artisanal beauty with modern functionality that looks and feels as good as it performs.
Two models are available: Woody and Edge.
The Woody is offered as a more overt tribute to tradition. Crafted from premium American walnut, it is intended to deliver a natural warmth and comfort with a timeless aesthetic.

The Edge is offered for those who want a lighter-weight option that still incorporates strength and durability. An aerospace-grade aluminum skeleton is precision-machined for rigidity and balance, with signature walnut accents to give it a similar classic appeal.
Both Woox stocks are available in fixed or folding configurations that allow the user to adjust his or her setup for compact storage or full-length precision.
Both models feature an adjustable cheek riser for a custom weld, an ultralight recoil pad for enhanced shooting comfort, and static QD sling attachment points and reinforced stabilizer bars for extra durability.

Folding versions integrate a hardened steel hinge mechanism with ambidextrous configuration to ensure smooth and repeatable lockup.
Like every Woox creation, the 1913-compatible stocks are crafted in Italy, assembled and tested in the USA, and, like any piece of good wooden firearm furniture, are built to last a lifetime.
For a deep dive into a custom firearm build employing Woox furniture, check out UN12 Issue 021 for a full feature on a customized bolt-action Rem 700 action that rides on Woox’s Furiosa chassis.
