Dead Foot Arms has introduced its Gen 3 SCW 2.5 stock/brace configuration. Engineered for rugged performance and next-level durability, the latest generation features larger ,stronger bars for superior strength and stability under recoil, while the dual locking mechanism ensures a rock-solid lockup in both its deployed and collapsed positions to minimize movement and maximizeconfidence.
The redesigned end cap now includes enhanced texture, making spring installation and removal faster and easier, even with gloved hands. A new O-ring retention system adds an extra layer of security and keeps the cap firmly in place through the most demanding environments.

DFA claims the SCW 2.5 is by far the most compact PDW-style stock/brace for the AR-15 platform, with a collapsed length of just 2.5 inches. While compact, it remains very versatile, allowing for button-free deployment and five length-of-pull settings. At full extension, length of pull (LOP) reaches 12.3”, keeping it comfortable for shooters of all sizes.
The SCW 2.5 stock/brace utilizes the patented Dead Foot Arms LLC Modified Cycle System and a shortened bolt carrier group, which is included with the kit. DFA offers three BCGs to choose from—an Outerwild Outpost M16 rifle-style carrier group, the full-auto-rated Bootleg BCG, or an Outerwild 9mm BCG for PCC builds. More information on these units can be found on the DFA SCW product page (click URL below).
The SCW 2.5 stock/brace features an ergonomic design that uses dual rails that are offset so as to not interfere with weapon controls or function. The Tailhook Brace opens to the right.
The system includes the complete brace assembly, receiver extension, adjustment rail, plunger/recoil springs, plunger, rubber bumper (9mm only) and MCS Style (shortened) bolt carrier group. System weight with a rifle-caliber BCG is 30 ounces. System weight with the 9mm BCG is 31 ounces.
The SCW Arm Brace is a fully machined ambidextrous aluminum pistol stabilizing brace that attaches to the forearm via a shock cord strap, providing rigid support even in one handed operation.
Complete SCW rifle or pistol builds are also available.
