Silent Steel USA has announced the full deployment and public launch of its patented FLOW-IQ technology across its Streamer suppressor family. While shooters have relied on this system for years, the recent issuance of U.S. Patent No. 12,313,360 formally recognizes the proprietary gas-flow architecture that sets Silent Steel USA suppressors apart in performance, reliability, user serviceability, and shooter comfort.
Unlike conventional suppressors that rely on stacked baffles to slow and redirect gases, FLOW-IQ technology introduces a controlled gas rotation system, a turbine-and-filter architecture that spirals expanding gases, cools them, and minimizes backpressure in one fluid mechanism.

According to Silent Steel, this design:
By eliminating conventional baffles, FLOW-IQ reduces fouling, improves durability, and delivers a consistently quiet, mission-ready suppressed tone in demanding environments.
FLOW-IQ technology is now available across Silent Steel USA’s Streamer product family, including the Streamer, Compact Streamer, and Micro Streamer, providing options for users who prioritize maximum suppression, compact mobility, or a balance of the two. Whether equipping an SBR, PDW, or full-size rifle, customers can choose the Streamer model that fits without sacrificing FLOW-IQ performance.
Each Silent Steel USA suppressor has FLOW-IQ technology and is engineered around a modular architecture. Shooters can disassemble units tool-free, clean core components, and reassemble in minutes. The removable gas filter and turbine components are engineered to resist fouling, corrosion, and wear, extending service life and ensuring consistent performance under demanding conditions.
At Silent Steel USA, every suppressor is built on what they call “The Science of Silence,” where innovation, craftsmanship, and performance come together to define the brand.
Key Silent Steel suppressor features include:
Gas-Rotation System: Eliminates the need for baffles, reducing backpressure and fouling.
User Maintainability: Serviceable components extend suppressor life and simplify cleaning.
Heat Management: Improved cooling supports sustained fire and full-auto applications.
Accuracy & Consistency: Taper-lock and QD systems ensure a repeatable point of impact.
With the launch of FLOW-IQ technology, Silent Steel USA is continuing its commitment to pushing the boundaries of suppressor engineering and delivering solutions that meet the evolving demands of today’s shooters.
According to the company, the advancement marks a major step forward not just for the Streamer family, but for the future of suppression as a whole, bringing greater control, less maintenance, and unmatched consistency to every shot.
