Today marks the release of two new firearm platforms from Springfield Armory—the Model 2020 Heatseeker .308 Pistol and the 1911 Garrison Target in .45 ACP and 9mm.
Model 2020 Heatseeker
The Heatseeker .308 blends bolt-action precision blending bolt-action precision with AR-style modularity—all in an extremely compact and portable package.
Featuring an overall length of 22.5 inches with a compact 12-inch barrel, the Model 2020 Heatseeker Pistol, chambered in .308 Win., features standard Graphite Black Cerakote finish.

The pistol’s foundation is Springfield’s proven, custom-grade Model 2020 action, which employs dual locking lugs and EDM raceways for smooth and reliable functioning.
This Model 2020 action is housed in the Sharps Bros. 1913 Heatseeker chassis, which is machined from a single block of aircraft-grade aluminum and features (nearly) 360-degree M-LOK coverage as well as an integral recoil lug.
A compact handguard, rear-mount strip of Picatinny rail for attaching a brace or stock, and an AR-pattern B5 Systems P5 grip deliver a compact and maneuverable profile.

The 12-inch barrel is manufactured from stainless steel and features a 1:10 twist rate. The muzzle features 5/8×24 threading and is topped off with an effective SA Radial Brake.
In addition, the pistol is fed from a detachable five-round AICS-pattern magazine. Weighing in at just 6 pounds, the pistol comes with a Picatinny rail scope mount and, like other bolt guns in the Model 2020 lineup, features adjustable TriggerTech fire control that can be adjusted to pull weights from 2.5-5 pounds.
The modular and adaptable Model 2020 Heatseeker .308 pistol stands ready to accept your preferred selection of suppressors, optics, braces and stocks (NFA restrictions apply).

1911 Garrison Target
Next up, the 1911 Garrison is available in .45 ACP and 9mm and features a fully adjustable rear sight. Featuring hot-salt blued carbon steel and wood grips, this 1911 combines heirloom-quality construction with the modern features today’s shooters demand.
Both the .45 ACP and 9mm 1911 Garrison Target pistols take the classic and proven 1911 design and add that adjustable rear sight for competition-minded applications. The result is a rock-solid 1911 with forged-steel construction, modern upgrades and the strength to provide a lifetime of service.
To ensure maximum downrange accuracy, the adjustable rear sight unit offers full windage and elevation adjustments. The rear face is black and serrated to help disperse glare and ensure a solid sight picture. The front sight features a high-visibility white dot. The attractively checkered thinline wood grips ensure a solid hold on the pistol.

As with all Springfield Armory 1911 pistols, the new Garrison Target models in .45 ACP and 9mm feature forged steel construction in their carbon steel slides and frames, ensuring durability and strength. The 5-inch barrel, constructed of forged stainless steel, is match-grade for maximum downrange accuracy.
Both the .45 ACP and 9mm versions ship with a steel magazine. The blued steel .45 magazine imbues the pistol with a 7+1 capacity. The 9mm magazine, constructed of stainless steel, offers 9+1.
