While attending the ISNR expo in Abu Dhabi this past March, we enjoyed a unique opportunity to meet a very interesting company called Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC).
To give you a bit of background, Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) is the owner and operator of five airports: Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain International Airport, Al Bateen Executive Airport, Delma Island Airport and Sir Bani Yas Island Airport; as well as two check-in facilities: Abu Dhabi International Airport City Check-in, at the heart of the city, and the airport Expo Check-in at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Through its subsidiaries, ADAC offers ground handling, cargo, catering services, and an internationally approved aviation-training center.
Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) was created on the 4th March 2006 to spearhead the redevelopment of the Emirate’s aviation infrastructure. To this end, it plays a key part in the Government of Abu Dhabi’s Plan 2030. Wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi Government, the company is headquartered at its principal asset, Abu Dhabi International Airport.
In this video, we introduce ADAC’s mobile command center. Built on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Truck, this mobile command center is packed with high-tech electronic communications gear and easily identified with it’s green flashing light raised high above. Connected to the TETRA network incident commanders can coordinate organized incident responses and communicate effectively with incident responders.
With the increasing popularity of tourism in amazing locations such Abu Dhabi and Duabi, airport services are playing a critical role in government infrastructure and public perception of safety. ADAC is certainly at the tip of the spear as they continue to achieve major advancements for the airline industry as well as the UAE.
