Titusville, FL –(gunsandtactics.com)- The 2012 US National Steel Championship, held in Titusville, FL started off with a win in the Rimfire Iron division by Team Captain Jason Koon.
The success continued as both Jason and John Rasmussen finished Top 10 in the Production Division. Jason finished 5th overall with a stock USP Tactical and John finished 9th with a P30L.
This match also marked the first event for Maria Harbin, HK’s new female competitive shooter, who competed for the first time with a P30L.
The match drew 203 competitors for the Main match, and 87 for the Rimfire match from 24 states, Canada, Japan and Russia.
“With the number of modifications that competitors are doing to their Production pistols, I wanted to shoot the match with a stock pistol and see what kind of finish I could produce.
Unfortunately, I came up a little short but was satisfied with the Team’s performance this week, and look forward to going for a win at the World Championship later this year, said Koon.”
USPSA Multigun Nationals: John Rasmussen will debut the MR556A1 rifle at the USPSA Mulitgun Nationals in Las Vegas on April 14 – 15.
