Jacob Grey Firearms Nox 9—Precision, Control, Fits Like a Glove
More than 12 years in the making, Jacob Grey’s Nox 9 marks the next chapter in the company’s handgun lineup.
According to company president Todd Neice: “Nox 9 is more than just a pistol launch—we’re making a statement to the world. Our goal is to disrupt the space with new standards, higher expectations, and a firearm priced according to real numbers.”
The Nox 9 is built on a 4140 pre-hardened steel frame fitted with Armored Billet fully CNC-machined components. This launch’s impetus is to provide a new standard in precision components, coatings, comfort, and recoil management in a revolutionary new design.
In designing and building the Nox 9, the company has leveraged advanced equipment to bring to fruition a design that has been planned for years. Every Nox 9 pistol is produced to exacting tolerances—down to the micron—to deliver a slide-to-frame fit and consistency the company claims eliminates the need for hand-fitting.
Key Nox 9 features include:
- A 5-inch ported slide and integrally compensated barrel for reduced recoil and flatter shooting.
- Fully CNC-machined billet 4140 pre-hardened steel frame, DLC coated for improved slide-to-frame fit and longevity compared to an aluminum frame.
- An innovative grip module designed to allow the user’s hand to lay perfectly on the backstrap, thus allowing for a high grip for complete control.
- Trademarked Armored Billet ignition components—hammer, sear, disconnector, oversized mag release and safety levers—all CNC-machined from tool steel and DLC/PVD coated.
- 2.5-pound Controlled Radius Trigger with over-travel adjustment and enhanced hammer/sear engagement.
- An optic-ready slide platform with RMR footprint plate positioned rear of the ejection port for unobstructed function.
- An exclusive patented ejector design, unique to the Nox 9 platform.
The Nox 9 will be available in extremely limited quantities directly through Jacob Grey’s dealer network and e-commerce site. The company’s goal is to work with its grassroots partners to supply the market at a strategic pace that aligns with Jacob Grey’s growth strategy.
