Magpul Industries recently dropped the history of the Folding Defensive Platform (FDP) that the company developed jointly with ZEV Technologies.
The FDP is a unique take on the personal defense weapon: A fully functional firearm constructed with a chassis formed from durable Magpul polymer and chambered in 9mm. In its most unassuming form, it folds up into a self-contained unit about the size of your average old-school lunchbox (and looks a little bit like one, too).
On the company’s Comms page, the team talks about the evolution of a firearm that “started as a thought experiment” that then came to life as a functioning prototype, and now, a little over a decade later, is a full-fledged stealth defensive platform sold exclusively by ZEV Technologies.
