The UCS (Universal Carbine Stock) is Magpul’s latest buttstock innovation: a highly featured stock for rear-mounted vertical M1913/Picatinny rails.
The company claims it does everything other stocks on the market do and then some, and that, combining its price point with all the extras it brings to the table, there’s no other stock that matches its value.
To accommodate the wide variety of charging-handle styles and configurations, the ejection port location, and controls placement across varied platforms, the UCS features a reversible hinge for left or right folding.
Additionally, it’s got five degrees of drop for clearance while most other stocks feature less drop, which doesn’t work for all firearms. It ships with two reversible cheek risers—0.5” and 0.75”.
When combined with the reversible M1913 clamp (allowing for a ½-slot height adjustment along the rear rail for increased comb height flexibility), users can dial in head placement for optimal sight picture whether using an optic or iron sights.
The UCS gives the user three inches length of pull adjustment across six positions, which can be adjusted via the LOP buttons. It is designed to fit any shooter, with or without body armor or other bulky equipment, and adds only approximately 18 ounces of weight.
Like the stock itself, the UCS’s sling attachment point is an anti-rotational QD socket that is reversable. This stock is compatible with MEO SL and DT buttpads, offering further comfort customization.
Magpul UCS features recap:
The UCS is available in black and FDE.
