Midwest Industries is introducing what it calls the “next generation” of its AR handguard offerings—the Combat Rail HD.
This cutting-edge handguard aims to elevate MI’s popular Night Fighter by redefining durability and performance, and it is engineered to deliver maximum rigidity and rock-solid reliability for extreme use. They say it’s designed and built for the most demanding shooters and to to set a new standard in heavy duty design.
Built for both AR-15 and 308 platforms, the Combat Rail HD features two upgraded anti-rotation QD swivel attachments for superior strength, a 5-slot polymer M-LOK rail, Midwest Industries’ patented torque plate, a longer 4140 barrel nut for greater stability, and a fully machine-engraved premium finish.

Designed primarily for military, law enforcement, and nighttime shooters, the Combat Rail HD’s extreme rigidity will ensure your aiming devices, particularly laser designators, maintain zero even under intense pressure.
Midwest Industries founder Troy Storch explains: “As a company known for building rugged, reliable components for serious shooters, we’re always looking for ways to raise the bar. The Combat Rail HD is the next step in the evolution of our popular AR handguards, bringing added strength, improved stability, and mission-ready performance to the platform. We’re confident in its ability to perform at the highest standard, no matter the challenge.”
The Combat Rail HD is available in three lengths from 9 and a quarter inches to 13.5. Product weight is as follows—9.25-inch: 14.0 oz.; 10.5-inch: 15.1 oz.; 13.5-inch: 18.0 oz.
