Springfield GMT Field Watch
Say hello to the Springfield GMT wristwatch from S&B™ Watches. First introduced in 2015, the Springfield field watch has been one of S&B’s most sought-after timepieces. With a bit of crowdfunding from Kickstarter, S&B brought the Springfield to market in January of 2016. But, by mid-2017 they were all gone and the Springfield was no longer in stock.
This year, however, the original Springfield GMT has taken its place in the ranks of field watches yet again. The Springfield GMT is a tribute to the greatest generation and is inspired by the very watch that was issued to US Infantry during World War II.
The Springfield GMT features a red, triangle-tip 24-hour format hand and an updated bezel to indicate a second time zone. It’s neatly packaged in a manly 44mm stainless steel case complimented by 22mm lugs and a G10 NATO Strap and buckle. The dial and hands are protected by a slightly domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal, giving it a stunning vintage flare. The hour, minute, and numbers boast C3 Super-LumiNova that produce an easily visible afterglow in the dark.
The Springfield GMT is water resistant to 100 meters, so don’t be afraid to get it wet. It’s also offered in two color styles: a brushed stainless steel case with a green dial, or a black stainless steel case with a black dial.
