Tenicor’s Velo Lux is now live. This is a purpose-built appendix-carry holster for pistols with a weapon-mounted light, and, according to the company, is their most capable AIWB light-bearing holster yet, designed to accommodate a range of compact or full-size weapon lights.
Velo Lux is designed to reduce both the gun and the light’s profile to maximize what they call effortless concealment and all-day comfort. Dual retention screws enable subtle carry adjustments and security. Tenicor’s proprietary stainless steel double posts are employed for retention adjustment and for easily securing the Discreet Carry Concepts Mod4 clips in a range of configurations.
The universal clips are used for optimal strength and ductility while maintaining an overall low profile. Velo Lux features more than an inch of ride-height adjustment and generous cant range, including three possible clip locations to allow the user to optimize the carry configuration.
The holster sheath itself is made from tough and thick (0.093”) thermoplastic for durability and long service longevity.
The Velo Lux, like any Tenicor holster, is designed to contour to the user’s body. Organic angles and curves are combined to eliminate “hot spots” and pressure points by filling voids between gun and body for maximum worn comfort.
Three heights of camming bars are used to fine-tune the rotation of the grip into the body for optimal concealment and for reduced printing.
Additionally, the Velo Lux is red-dot-ready, as it’s designed to accommodate most slide-mounted red dots appropriate for the size of the gun. It fits SRO, RMR HD, DPP and others.
The holster is designed with profiling at the trigger guard and sweat guard to ensure a full, positive grip on the gun when needed. The shirt guard is profiled to eliminate “sight bite” and allow for an unencumbered high thumb grip.
Since it’s designed to interface with pistols already fitted with a light, Velo Lux is designed to accommodate a wide range of light makes and models from Streamlight, SureFire, and other manufacturers including Inforce and Olight. For a full list of compatible lights, click the web link below.
Velo Lux is available for a variety of Glock, Staccato, Smith & Wesson M&P, SIG Sauer, and 2011/1911 pistol models.
