Dave is the primary on-camera personality and content creator at Guns & Tactics. His experience the in firearms industry, training, law enforcement and media spans more than two decades. He is a proud retired law enforcement officer, having served as a Patrol Sergeant, use of force instructor, and firearms trainer. During that time, he provided department communication to the public and news media and began creating online content in his “spare time.” He joined the Guns & Tactics team full time after retiring from law enforcement following 20 years of decorated service.

Steve stood by the Troy Industries booth to check out their new rifles and some new parts.
Since building my first AR as a hobbyist several years ago, I’ve gone through several different mindsets when it comes to triggers. When I first started, I didn’t know any better, so a “mil-spec” single stage trigger was what I learned on, and what I knew. Of course when the AR-building bug struck again I did what many builders and hobbyists do – spend a crap ton of money on a bunch of add-ons, attachments, doodads and whiz-bangs, and I ended up with an 8-9 lb rifle with a bunch of stuff I really didn’t need in real life. It looked cool, though.
We are back for the September QA where we answer your questions. After some technical difficulties, we bring you the episode in its entirety.
We check out a really nice looking lower receiver and new charging handle from Fortis Manufacturing.
