The U.S. Concealed Carry Association For Saving Lives Super PAC (USCCA-FSL) announced today it is launching a high six-figure paid digital campaign both nationally, as well as in several key races for House and Senate, that encourages responsible gun owners to make their voices heard at the ballot box in November. The ad is running nationally and to targeted voters on streaming channels, including YouTube and Facebook, in a number of key races including North Carolina Senate (Ted Budd), CA-3 (Kevin Kiley), AZ-02 (Eli Crane), FL-13 (Ana Paulina Luna) and TX-38 (Wesley Hunt).
With the financial support of thousands of Americans around the country, as well as the U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), which is one of the country’s largest and fastest growing organizations in the country dedicated to supporting responsibly armed Americans, USCCA-FSL was launched last year to advance the right of responsible Americans to protect their families. In its first year of existence, USCCA-FSL has helped deliver over 517,000 letters to Members of Congress on key policy issues, launched a website to keep gun owners informed on key policy issues and is now engaging in key races for the U.S. Senate and House.
USCCA-FSL’s ad campaign features a mother of four and domestic abuse survivor, Jennifer Moston, who details her experience with firearms as a victim and now as a firearm owner who says, “it’s so important we have political leaders who will champion and defend my constitutional right to own a firearm.” The reality that Jennifer endures as a survivor and a responsible gun owner illustrates the critical need for lawmakers to listen to the record numbers of Americans who are exercising their Second Amendment rights as first-time gun owners.
“Jennifer’s story reflects the reality that millions of Americans across the country and from all walks of life have chosen to be their family’s first line of defense, and we need lawmakers in Washington who will support them,” said Mike Lowney, executive director and chairman of the board, USCCA-FSL. “Americans are more concerned than ever about their ability to keep themselves and their families safe. As we look towards the midterm elections, it is imperative that this overwhelming support for the right to self-defense is relayed at the ballot box to ensure the ability for all Americans to defend themselves with the firearm of their choice is protected. That is why we are working to deliver the message to voters about which candidates will stand up for their right to protect their families and why gun owners in particular need to make their voices heard in November.”

Since building my first AR as a hobbyist several years ago, I’ve gone through several different mindsets when it comes to triggers. When I first started, I didn’t know any better, so a “mil-spec” single stage trigger was what I learned on, and what I knew. Of course when the AR-building bug struck again I did what many builders and hobbyists do – spend a crap ton of money on a bunch of add-ons, attachments, doodads and whiz-bangs, and I ended up with an 8-9 lb rifle with a bunch of stuff I really didn’t need in real life. It looked cool, though.
