If it weren’t for nine witnesses with authentic reactions and several running video cameras, this shot could fall near the top of the “unbelievable” list.

Every one has had them. You’re usually alone or with one other shooter and something unbelievable happens. A seemingly impossible shot threaded through multiple obsticals and completely defying all laws of physics to eventually find its intended target. Ted Nugent has a whole list of unbelievable shots in his book God Guns and Rock and Roll (like hitting a high flying turkey buzzard with a handgun while riding a motorcycle across a bumpy field). And they are very hard to believe, because when someone says they accomplished something normally beyond human and mechanical capabilities while having few if any witnesses, accepting those stories as truth is difficult. But few ‘amazing shot’ stories play out like this.

Ryan Cleckner, a former Army Ranger and long range rifle instructor was helping conduct a class at Texas Triggers Ranch. When asked to fire the rifle free hand at a silhouette target 1000 yards away, he was hesitant thinking it would look like they were goofing around… because he knew hitting a target of any size at 1000 yards with a 37 lb rifle free handed was just not going to happen.
Looks like the first critic he proved wrong was himself.
