Guns & Tactics is a proud supporter of professional marksman and tactician, Chris Spears of Sandhill Tactical.
Chris has been working as a consultant with respected firearms manufacturer SWORD International in the development and design of SWORD’s new .300 Blackout round, code named “WOLVERINE.”
Chris is also reported to be working closely with good friend, Jeremy Elrod on new weapon designs for SWORD. Among his projects is the task of building a custom MK-18 Advanced Target Interdiction Rifle which will feature a 1/7 right hand twist barrel from Douglas Barrels and a 3.5 pound flat-trigger from his friends at CMC Trigger.
Have you seen Chris’ amazing snakeskin MK-15 Patrolman Carbine? This custom build by SWORD International has gotten a lot of attention over the last few months and was displayed at the Blackhills Ammunition booth during SHOT Show 2012 this past January in Las Vegas.
Chris’ custom rifle was built especially for him and includes a 1/8 right hand twist 16″ barrel, ArmaDynamics ACLM ambidextrous tactical charging handle and a Geissele SD-3G trigger. the rifle features an EOTech EXPS3 optic with Magnifier (flip to side mount) and is equipped with a V-TAC adjustable Sling.
In the weeks and months ahead Chris will be conducting a series of custom courses at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in California featuring both his Tactical pistol classes and a long range rifle class. A custom 1911 clinic will also be included in this schedule for May and June.
Chris shoots a full-size Springfield Armory 1911 with his own custom modifications and upgrades including Chip McCormick’s custom magazines.
Later this summer Chris will travel to Georgia and Florida, working with Law Enforcement agencies in central Florida on Advanced Carbine Shooting and physical fitness. In May he’ll participate in a long-range shoot with Blackhills Ammunition in South Dakota, followed by shooting at American Tactical Training Arms Center (ATTAC) in St. Augustine Florida.
Chris will appear at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center on May 28th for a spacial Memorial Day Shoot to support Wounded Warriors Project. Look for him at the SWORD booth along with three of his custom SWORD International rifles.
In September, you’ll find Chris in Georgia bow hunting through November.
