Women’s Concealed Carry Showroom to Feature Women-Specific Carry Options & Educational Programs for Self-Defense
WEST BEND, WI – The United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) announced today that its upcoming annual expo taking place this year at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA on May 17th to May 19th, will include a special showroom devoted solely for responsibly-armed women. The Women’s Concealed Carry Showroom will allow them to test-out women-specific carry options including specific product and service recommendations for the growing community of female firearms owners, shooters and instructors.
“This year’s USCCA Concealed Carry Expo will be our biggest and best one yet, and we’re especially proud that it will include a special focus on the thousands of responsibly armed women who have embraced, or are considering, the concealed carry lifestyle,” said Tim Schmidt, Founder & President of the USCCA. “The firearm is the ultimate equalizer, and it truly levels the playing field to allow anyone to protect themselves against someone who wishes to harm them or their family. This year’s USCCA expo will provide an informative and welcoming place for women to build a stronger voice within the USCCA community and empower them to take control of their own safety and that of their families.”
The number of Americans who have applied for concealed carry permits has now reached 18 million, a 60% increase since 2014. There has also been a sharp increase in women applying for concealed carry permits – that rate has doubled just within the last 4 years making women the fastest growing segment of the gun industry.
The USCCA recently unveiled an action-packed agenda for its annual expo dedicated to responsibly-armed Americans which be held this year.

In this Tactical Moment episode John discusses “stoppages.” A stoppage is a momentary cessation of the firearm. When you pull the trigger and hear a click instead of a bang, then you know something is wrong. Applying “immediate action” could be the fastest way to fix the problem and get back in the gunfight. Watch this video to learn how to manage a firearms stoppage by applying the immediate action technique.

Mission First Tactical (MFT) has gained popularity, especially with their Battlelink Minimalist stock – the odd-looking, L-shaped, stripped down carbine stock that has become all the rage with lightweight AR builders. MFT has since pushed out more products to the AR accessory market such as pistol grips, vertical foregrips with integral weaponlight housing, and a small little light dubbed the Torch Backup White Light (TBWL) or its counterparts the Torch Backup Light White/Red (TBLWR) Torch Backup Light Infrared (TBLIR). The model I had a chance to look at was the TBWL, which features two white LED lights with an output of approximately 20 lumens.
