If you’re a reader of UN12 or regular visitor to this website, you already know Woox is a manufacturer of high-end gunstocks, axes, and knives. The company draws on both sides of its Italian-American heritage, combining Old World-style craftsmanship with cutting-edge manufacturing.
Woox’s latest creations, the Gladiatore High Grade buttstock/forend is crafted as a premium upgrade for popular shotguns from Mossberg and Remington. Each component is available individually or as a matched set.
According to the company, the Gladiatore High Grade line is an expansion of Woox’s commitment to craftsmanship. Since they are already known for elegant and functional rifle chassis, this new endeavor extends the company’s signature Italian-American design to shotgun enthusiasts. Gladiatore pieces are designed to enhance control, grip, and durability without sacrificing style.

“Each piece is hand-selected and matched for quality, grain depth, and contrast,” says Woox USA CEO Ben Fleming of the walnut stock used here. “We look for wood that stands apart from the rest and put them together to form a matching pair. The result is a truly unique set where no two are the same.”
He continues: “This High Grade match is beauty in its most natural form, giving our end user a collector-grade build.”
With limited supply of this “High Grade” American Walnut, Woox intends to build every piece it can. But it also means the supply may be finite, at least for this part of the series.
The Gladiatore kit is designed for enhanced performance as well as visual elegance: It features an innovative aerospace aluminum coupling to ensure a solid fit to the host firearm.

The buttstock’s raised comb includes four quarter-inch length-of-pull spacers for improved sight alignment and shooting comfort, and is ideal for shotguns equipped with optics. A lightweight microcell butt pad further enhances comfort, and an integrated ambidextrous QD attachment point enables secure sling mounting for right- or left-hand shooters.
The forend fits 6-3/4 and 7-3/4 action tubes. Dual M-LOK rail slots at 3 and 9 o’clock allow for easy integration of accessories and tactical gear. Aggressive checkering and flared ends enable a non-slip grip and confident manipulation. A special removal tool is included to aid in the claimed 5-minute installation procedure.
Like other Woox implements and upgrades, the Gladiatore stock and forend components are crafted in Italy, assembled and tested in the USA, and made to last a lifetime.
The Gladiatore High End stock/forend are available for Mossberg 88/500/590/590 A1 & Shockwave, and Remington 870 and Tac 14.
