NPRC is America’s premier patrol rifle training event that annually brings hundreds of law enforcement officers from around the country together to collaborate, share info, network, and compete to learn ways to better protect and serve their respective communities.
The competition features events related and relevant to the patrol environment. It focuses on moving targets, threat ID, movement, shooting under stress, alternate shooting positions, and multiple target engagements. It also features concurrent Sponsor demonstrations so you can actually test the vendors equipment while you wait to shoot your next evolution. This is the 12th year this event has been held. In the past many agencies have sent officers to this event simply to accomplish training they can’t provide.

In my pursuit to finish a Cross Machine & Tool (CMT) .308 build, I stumbled on JL Billet, a veteran owned and operated manufacturer based in San Diego, CA. They make some pretty killer looking stuff. Looks aside, I am always concerned with durability and quality, so I set out to put it to the test and share my first hand experience.
When I first saw the Heckler & Koch (HK) VP9 – I was not impressed. In my opinion, the HK VP9 was a step backward in design. I though the HK P30 was nearly perfect, but I hated the squared off back end of the slide and how the grip seemed to be overly forward on the gun. If I could compare this gun to a car: Heckler & Koch had the ability to make a 2015 Corvette but decided to build a 1992 Ford Taurus.
