Helping Veterans by making time with Minuteman Watch Company.
When I first saw Minuteman motto, “Minuteman watches. Assembled in the United States of America by patriots for patriots” I was hooked. But what I found even more intriguing was that the company goes out of its way to hire, train and support American veterans.
“A portion of each and every watch sale gets donated back to the veteran community,” said Thomas Carey, owner of Minuteman.
In fact 25% of the profits go to the Gary Sinise Foundation, which was created honor and support defenders, veterans, first responders and their families.
“Owner of Minuteman” author=”Thomas Carey” margin=”24px 14px 14px 24px”]”You’re not just buying a watch, you are supporting a great cause.”
Each watch design in the collection is limited edition and only made in a small quantity of 65. Once they are sold, they are sold.
We ordered the MM04 DLC and let me tell you, it is a thing of beauty. It feels solid, heavy and robust. Ours came serial numbered 15/65 and included a watchcase made by the same folks who make Randall Knives cases. Also included where two bands, one black and one OD green.
Retail price is $499, which is about average for a high quality Swiss made timepiece but considering the rarity and donation, this is a great deal.
