We had to do a double-take when we first saw a Chiappa Rhino. It’s probably one of the most unique revolver designs we’ve seen, with the low-set barrel and the fact that it fires from the bottom of the cylinder rather than the top.
Traditionally chambering the gun in .357, 9mm, and .40 S&W, Chiappa is now expanding the acclaimed Rhino series by introducing two new variants chambered in the mighty 10mm Auto.
Available in a matte-black model with a 6-inch barrel and a nickel-finished variant with 3-inch barrel, these new handguns blend the unmistakable Rhino design with the hard-hitting performance of 10mm, offering shooters an exciting new option for defense, hunting, and sport shooting.
Noted for its distinctive barrel alignment and recoil-taming design, the newest Chiappa Rhinos are designed to harness the strength and speed of 10mm—a caliber prized for its flat trajectory, deep penetration, and proven stopping power.
Whether you carry it to the range, in the field, or rely on it as your personal-defense sidearm, the 10mm Rhino aims to offer the confidence and control demanded by serious shooters.
Both models feature fiber optic front sights, adjustable rear sights, ergonomic grips, and Chiappa’s reliable double/single-action trigger system. It’s all designed to make the most of the 10mm Auto’s impressive ballistics.
Both models will also be available in California-compliant single-action-only (SAO) configurations.
The new models are as follows:
Rhino 60DS 10mm, black—Built for precision and performance, this 6-inch-barrel variant offers optimal accuracy and a sight radius suited for target shooting and handgun hunting. It is wrapped in a rugged matte-black finish.
Rhino 30DS 10mm, nickel: Compact but uncompromising, this 3-inch-barrel version delivers 10mm power in a sleek nickel-plated package, making it a versatile choice for personal defense and everyday carry.
