When it comes to choosing the implements that make up your everyday carry, less is oftentimes more. And while it’s easy to get wrapped up in the tools, gizmos and gadgets, there’s part of your everyday carry that often gets overlooked: the clothes on your back.
So when your everyday carry loadout demands comfort without compromise, less can most definitely be more. Following this line of thinking, Vertx has introduced the Ruck Pant, which they say is the lightest and most breathable EDC pant in the brand’s lineup.

The Vertx Ruck is designed to deliver lightweight comfort, fast-drying performance, and unrestricted mobility. It is built especially for hot days, active schedules, and everyday movement, and it’s designed to provide the functionality of a purpose-built EDC garment without burdening you with unnecessary weight or bulk.
Built from an exceptionally lightweight 125gsm stretch fabric, the Ruck Pant allows heat to easily evacuate while helping your pants dry quickly in warm or humid conditions. The result is an airy, low-profile garment that provides a comfortable alternative to heavier EDC or tactical-inspired pants if you foresee an active schedule in your near future.
That noted stretch fabric is itself constructed from a lightweight blend of 90% nylon and 10% spandex, and it assists the Ruck in delivering abrasion resistance and wrinkle resistance without adding the unnecessary weight that might normally be associated with those properties.
The Ruck’s athletic fit and structured waistband provide a secure, flexible fit that accommodates ease of movement while supporting inside-the-waistband (IWB) carry. A full gusseted crotch further enhances mobility and allows unrestricted physical motion during physically demanding activities.

The Ruck also includes purposeful storage features to improve accessibility while maintaining its signature streamlined profile. Two scoop pockets feature updated pocket lining for quick access to everyday essentials, while a dedicated side pocket accommodates most standard smartphones—or a rifle magazine.
Further, a concealed tool pocket integrated into the left front pocket provides secure storage for smaller tools, and mini stash pockets inside the waistband keep frequently used items organized and readily accessible.
Designed for extended wear, the Ruck Pant also features a microfiber-lined interior waistband that helps reduce moisture buildup and minimizes garment slippage, enhancing comfort while maintaining a secure fit throughout the day.
At just 125gsm, Vertx says the Ruck Pant is among the lightest purpose-built EDC pants available today, offering a breathable, low-profile option for those (you) who want everyday carry functionality without the weight of traditional EDC pants.
Whether the day calls for work, travel, training, or simply running errands or spending time outdoors, the Ruck Pant is engineered to deliver lightweight mobility, breathability, and everyday utility to keep up with your activities.
