We take a first look at the new Xtech Mag47, this is a new polymer AK 47 magazine that is be touted as the strongest on the market. We go over the product, take a look under the hood and give our initial first impressions.
What do you think? Best AK Magazine Ever? We just wish there was an AK74 version too!
Cant get enough video? Take a look at our 2018 Triggrcon video on the Xtech Mag47 here.
The MAG47 is the strongest polymer AK47 magazine to ever be made in the USA. A stainless steel cage reinforces the locking lugs and the feed lips where strength is mission critical. This magazine holds 30 rounds of 7.62 x 39 ammunition and feeds it flawlessly. For those of you who prefer a version with a Bolt Hold Open, look at the MAG47 BHO 30 Round AK47 Magazine.
The testing has been very extensive firing 20,000 plus rounds. The MAG47 has proven to be extremely reliable. We also worked extensively with manufacturers to make certain this magazine fit into every rifle we could get our hands on. The MAG47 lives up to the renowned reliability of the AK47 platform.

Dave is the primary on-camera personality and content creator at Guns & Tactics. His experience the in firearms industry, training, law enforcement and media spans more than two decades. He is a proud retired law enforcement officer, having served as a Patrol Sergeant, use of force instructor, and firearms trainer. During that time, he provided department communication to the public and news media and began creating online content in his “spare time.” He joined the Guns & Tactics team full time after retiring from law enforcement following 20 years of decorated service.
It is with a degree of sadness that after 10 years of attendance, we have decided to end our presence at SHOT SHOW in Las Vegas, NV.
In this episode we talk about stinky holsters, what to do in the confines of a range booth, the new Glocks, and dabble in to the 1911 world.
