Maztech Industries, in partnership with Magpul, is proud to introduce one of the most advanced optical systems available: the Maztech X4.
The system’s foundation, the Maztech X4-FCS (Fire Control System), pairs with an existing 30mm low power variable optic (LPVO) and works as a mount that provides real-time ballistic calculations for first-shot impacts on target—even out to the maximum effective range of the ammunition.

The Maztech X4-FCS uses data points such as temperature, pressure, humidity, pitch, roll, and heading, which are all paired with the integrated ballistic solver and ballistics library through use of the Applied Ballistics software and database.
By combining these parameters with user-supplied bullet and firearm data, the X4-FCS creates a precise, ballistic-compensated offset aiming point that acts as the shooter’s aimpoint through the LPVO.
All X4-FCS information is projected in clear, bright green text that’s even visible when backlit by full sunlight. The various available information and data is fully customizable by the shooter.
The X4-FCS unit is built tough and durable thanks to 7075-T6 billet aluminum construction, which is finished in a Type III hard-anodized black finish. The unit mounts on a standard Picatinny rail and weighs 22.6 ounces with the two included USB-C-rechargeable 18650 batteries installed.
The batteries yield a claimed one year of life when operating at a rate of ten hours per week thanks to the unit’s “activated wake” technology. The X4-FCS is also waterproof to three feet of submersion for 30 minutes and can operate in temperatures ranging from -40° F to 140° F (subject to appropriate temperature-rated batteries).
Virtually any 30mm LPVO can be mounted to the FCS, regardless of whether the scope has a first- or second-focal plane reticle.
To set the X4-FCS up, simply zero the mounted scope and align the X4-FCS display to overlay on top of the scope reticle. Because the X4-FCS’s aiming point complements the existing reticle, the scope is still perfectly usable even if the batteries become depleted.
The X4-FCS can store as many as 30 different ballistic profiles so it can easily accommodate multiple ammunition types and firearms. Optionally, pair the X4-FCS to the Maztech Companion App on your smartphone for quick weapon and ammo setup by leveraging the Applied Ballistics online database.
Four other X4 accessories provide support and connectivity to the system, including an LRF Diving Board Mount, remote controls with low-profile or rail-mounted options, and an FCS-to-LRF Cable.
You can also easily connect the X4-FCS to a Maztech X4-LRF (Laser Rangefinder; sold separately) for the ultimate targeting and fire control solution. With these two units paired, instantaneous range information is provided to the onboard Applied Ballistics software for immediate target engagement.
Finally, combine your hardware with the tools available on the Maztech mobile app and you can quickly configure your system from your smartphone and start hitting targets faster and farther than ever.
Made in the USA.
