Midwest Industries Rail System for Smith & Wesson L Frame
Introduced this past January, Midwest Industries’ Bounty Hunter series is a groundbreaking new system designed to customize your revolver and basically transform it into a complete system for hunting or personal defense.
Midwest has now expanded the series to include a rail system for 6-inch L Frame Smith & Wesson. It looks to us a lot like an AR-platform handguard, but Midwest Industries is quick to note on it’s website it isn’t a handguard in that traditional sense.
What it is, though, is a highly capable optics and accessories platform. Fully machined from 6061 aluminum, it features a full-length 1913 top rail that gives you plenty of space for red dots or magnified optics.
Expanding beyond the rail, it shrouds the revolver’s front end and barrel in an aluminum sheath that is replete with M-LOK slots for other accessories.
As noted, this product is designed specifically for S&W L Frames with a six-inch barrel. It is engineered to deliver a clean fit and easy installation with no permanent modifications to the host revolver.
