Now you can own the holster kit officially selected by the U.S. Army for the M17 modular pistol: The M17 Belt and Leg Military Holster Kit from Safariland.
This kit allows the user to have one holster with two different ways to deploy it. Configure it as a drop-leg holster with the thigh-mounted attachment:

Or configure it as a belt-mounted holster while keeping the pistol from interfering with any chest gear:

Compatible with M17 or non-X model P320 full-size pistols.

In January of 2017, SIG SAUER announced that the U.S. Army had selected a variant of the P320 to replace the M9 service pistol for its Modular Handgun System (MHS) program. The M17 and the M18 pistols are now in service with all branches of the U.S. Military.
The four-part M17 documentary, “The Chosen One” was created in conjunction with the civilian release of the P320-M17 and chronicles the U.S. Army’s exhaustive search for a new sidearm.
