For the conceal-carry savvy, Ruger just launched its newest model of the LCP Max pocket-sized pistol with Magpul’s new Enhanced Handgun Grip (EHG) for enhanced control, ergonomics, and a bit of swagger.
The LCP Max with Magpul LCP Max EHG delivers improved ergonomics thanks to an enhanced gripping surface. This imparts greater control to one of the smallest concealed-carry pistols available—and features similar aesthetics to the RXM (another Ruger-Magpul collaboration).

With the enhanced grip module, the LCP Max also features a black-nitride slide and a tritium insert with a white outline for the front sight paired with a drift-adjustable, squared, blacked-out rear sight.
True to extreme concealability form, it measures a scant 0.75 inches wide at the slide. It’s a tad taller than most LCP Max models at 4.78 inches, which helps those with larger hands maintain a better grip to help control the lightweight (11.2-ounce) gun’s recoil.
Other upgrades over previous models include improvements to the magazine feed lips, feed ramp, and extractor. Patented barrel cam geometry that delays unlocking, slows the slide, and ultimately reduces felt recoil compared to other .380 Auto pistols.

The reconfigured grip includes a ¾ TSP texture, a high beavertail, an undercut trigger guard, and a longer trigger pull length. It also adds a more tactile feel to the reversible magazine release to enhance the user’s dexterity when performing magazine changes.
Together, these features combine to minimize recoil and muzzle rise and make the LCP Max easier to handle and shoot.
Initial models will feature a manual safety, a 10‑round magazine with a Magpul-specific floor plate matched to the grip frame’s aesthetics and texture, and a new 13‑round magazine purpose-built for the EHG when paired with the color-matched grip extension (12-round mags will also function with the gun).
The latest Ruger and Magpul collaboration is available now. The gun also ships with a soft pocket holster, as well as an included magazine loader.
For those seeking just the grip, the EHG RG380 for Ruger LCP Max with manual safety will be available soon from Magpul in the next month in Black, Stealth Gray, FDE, and ODG.
