Generally speaking, installing a heavy modern gun safe is only possible with the help of professionals, and in many cases moving the safe after it’s been installed is a daunting task at best and sometimes not even possible at all. SnapSafe engineers have created an innovative, modular safe that’s delivered in pieces and then fitted in place. The company claims their robust design offers security equal to traditional welded safes. Certain models have the extra-large capacity required to store extensive gun collections yet still boast the flexibility to move them anywhere even after installation. Depending on the model, SnapSafe modular safes accommodate 12 to 56 (or more) long guns and include adjustable shelves for flexible storage configurations.
After delivery, each piece is unpacked and fastened at its final location. The SnapSafe modular assembly system locks the walls together from the inside, making the unit solid and virtually impenetrable just like a conventional welded safe. All feature a UL-listed digital lock with EMP-proof mechanical key backup. All safes also feature a 3/16” solid steel door (or doors) and thick, 9-gauge steel exterior walls. Single-door models include eight 1-inch chrome steel live locking bolts, while double-door models incorporate 14. Safes include heat-activated door fire seals and are Fire Shield protection rated at 2,300 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.
