Eusebio Earns High Honors at USPSA Ohio State Match
Smyrna, Ga. (gunsandtactics.com) — Team GLOCK‘s K.C. Eusebio traveled to Batavia, Ohio over Memorial Day weekend to compete in the 2012 United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Ohio State Match.
In his first match since joining GLOCK, Eusebio competed in the open division with a GLOCK G34 SJC Custom and captured top honors by placing first in six of the 10 stages.
“I was definitely a bit more nervous than usual, and the first stage jitters were in full force before I began,” said Eusebio. “Once I started shooting I settled into a comfortable rhythm with my GLOCK, and my confidence immediately returned.”
With more than 350 competitors and 10 exciting stages, the Ohio State Match was a fitting first challenge for the former U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit competitor.
The National Rifle Association’s (NRA) Bianchi Cup also took place this weekend at the Green Valley Rifle and Pistol Club in Columbus, Mo.
While Team GLOCK shooter Tori Nonaka recovers from a broken wrist from a skiing accident following her competition in the European Cup three weeks prior, GLOCK selected Donnie Bryant, North Dakota police officer, to compete on behalf of Team GLOCK.
“Shooting a gun that I trust and use each day made shooting the Cup much less stressful for me,” stated Bryant.
Competitor Vance Schmid accepted the Production Class trophy sponsored by GLOCK.
Team GLOCK’s next competition will be at the World Class Steel event in Old Bridge, N.J. on June 1. Eusebio will compete at the annual event in an attempt to continue exerting his dominance in the Open Division.
Tori Nonaka is scheduled to compete again at International Defensive Pistol Association’s (IDPA) Carolina Cup in Oxford, N.C., June 15-16.

When I first saw the Heckler & Koch (HK) VP9 – I was not impressed. In my opinion, the HK VP9 was a step backward in design. I though the HK P30 was nearly perfect, but I hated the squared off back end of the slide and how the grip seemed to be overly forward on the gun. If I could compare this gun to a car: Heckler & Koch had the ability to make a 2015 Corvette but decided to build a 1992 Ford Taurus.
