When it comes to weapons we know that there are no two identical gun brands in the world. In fact, a single brand can have several models – making it even harder to choose.
So, with so many guns out there, how can you figure out which of them you should buy. Naturally, you may already own the best AR-15 or AR-10 on the market, but the list of top weapons can go on and on.
In this respect we’ll be talking about the top ten weapons that have managed to impress both the industry and owners throughout time.
1. Accuracy International AS50

Let’s start with a really powerful gun! The AS50 may not be very popular in America – mainly because it comes from a British manufacturer – but it is known as one of the most dangerous sniper rifles in the world.
The weapon was designed for the US SEALs, as well as for the British Armed Forces. The most interesting characteristic of the AS50 is its rate of fire – for a sniper rifle, it can fire five rounds in only 1.6 seconds.
2. Desert Eagle Mark XIX

The infamous Desert Eagle was first manufactured in 1982 by Magnum Research Inc. The gun itself is gas-operated semi-automatic and has a firing range of up to 200 meters.
However, the latest Desert Eagle model – XIX – can be chambered for a variety of cartridges, making an already deadly weapon even deadlier. The largest cartridge it can fit is the .50 AE, which is one of the most powerful semi-automatic pistol cartridges.
3. Glock .45 GAP

You may have expected a bigger gun, but the Glock just like the Desert Eagle is not only very popular but also comes with the strength to maintain its popularity.
This particular pistol is a short firearm that is recoil-operated. Some feel the best cartridge it can be chambered with is the .45 GAP, a cartridge that is specifically designed and manufactured for Glock.
4. Uzi SMG

The Uzi is designed by Major Uziel Gal of the Israeli Defense Forces. The firearm is blowback-operated, first introduced in 1954 and is capable of firing 600 rounds per minute.
5. FN FAL

The FAL battle rifle is known as being among the most dependable guns used by the military throughout the world. Created by the Belgian arms manufacturer, Fabrique Nationale d’Herstal, the Fusil Automatique Leger has been used by more than 90 countries.
A Fully automatic FAL can fire up to 700 rounds per minute. The weapon is chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO in short; its firepower cannot be contested.
Despite having a very strong recoil, the FAL is one of the most used guns in history.
6. M4 Carbine

The M4 is a shorter and lighter version of the M16. Most of us know the M4 carbine as a staple in the United States Army and United Staes Marine Corps.
The M4 is gas-operated and can fire up to 950 rounds per minute. With an effective range of 500 meters it makes the M4 an ideal weapon for frontline infantry.
7. AK-47

Naturally, you can’t have a list of the top weapons without mentioning the AK-47. For various reasons, this is probably the world’s most popular gun. Even though it has a shorter effective range than the M4, it comes with the power needed to both spray targets and accurately take them down.
AK’s most important characteristic is its resilience. Reportedly, the gun will not break down unless catastrophe strikes. Given the many models that were made after the AK-47 but didn’t overcome this gun, it is safe to say that it is one of the top ten weapons!
8. Heckler & Koch HK416

The renowned German manufacturer responsible for the HK416 is Heckler & Koch. Just as the M4 carbine, the HK416 is based on the AR-15 rifle – making the HK and the M4 quite similar.
Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, this particular firearm can fire up to 900 rounds per minute. The HK416 is somewhat famous; it was the gun used by SEAL Team 6 to kill Osama Bin Laden.
9. Mauser Model 1893

Even though it is quite an old gun, it is worth mentioning that the very first Mauser that was manufactured in 1893 still operates perfectly.
Everybody knows that the Mauser is the foundation of every other bolt action rifle out there. Patented in 1893, the Mauser comes with three primary bolt action systems – namely the Mauser, the Lee-Enfield, and the Mosin-Nagant.
The latter is known as the most reliable, widespread, and battle-proven bolt action rifle mechanism in the world.
10. AR-15

The M4 carbine might be the staple of the US Army, but the AR-15 is the staple of the American people.
Currently, the AR-15 is one of the most popular and used firearms in the US – mainly by individuals with a passion for firearms.
So, which of the weapons mentioned above do you prefer? What would you add or take away from the list? Let us know in the comments.
We’re sure that, no matter what gun you choose for your range, you will have an amazing time trying out one of the above. The AS50 and the Mauser, for example, are definitely worth a shot, just for the experience.
Naturally, these were not all of the world’s top weapons, as there are many other famous firearms out there. However, they are the most popular and, in some cases, the most powerful weapons of their kind.
