Welcome to the weekly 2A News. Every week, Guns&Tactics wants to give you a recap (with links!) to the shenanigans the gungrabbers are trying to do to take away your 2nd Amendment rights. Remember, when they say, ‘Common Sense Gun Laws™’, they are lying.
Now, let’s get started:
A mass-murder took place at a high school in Florida. A nineteen-year-old former student pulled a fire alarm and opened fire on the students as they were leaving their classrooms. The murderer was eventually caught and taken into custody by law enforcement officers.

Former President Obama opens his blowhole:
We are grieving with Parkland. But we are not powerless. Caring for our kids is our first job. And until we can honestly say that we're doing enough to keep them safe from harm, including long overdue, common-sense gun safety laws that most Americans want, then we have to change.

President Trump tweets:
Our entire Nation, w/one heavy heart, continues to pray for the victims & their families in Parkland, FL. To teachers, law enforcement, first responders & medical professionals who responded so bravely in the face of danger: We THANK YOU for your courage! https://t.co/3yJsrebZMG pic.twitter.com/ti791dENTy

Many new Common Sense Gun Laws™ are popping up now in the wake of the tragedy:
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) shows his true-blue colors:
Sen. Chuck Grassley said Thursday that he plans to sit down with Sens. Dianne Feinstein and John Cornyn to discuss “what sort of agreement we can reach on legislation” in response to gun violence.
Sen. Feinstein (D) wants to ban “Assault Weapons” again:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) responded to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School attack by pointing out that she has an “assault weapons” ban waiting for a vote right now.
Another mass shooting. Reportedly another AR-15. My bill to ban assault weapons is ready for a vote. How long will we accept weapons of war being used to slaughter our children?

President tries to steer the conversation to mental health:
In the wake of a school shooting this week that claimed the lives of 17 children and adults, President Trump has sought to steer the national conversation to mental illness as critics question why he has failed to mention guns in his comments about the attack.
Trump said Thursday that his administration would work with state and local officials to “tackle the difficult issue of mental health” and prioritize security in schools.
So many signs that the Florida shooter was mentally disturbed, even expelled from school for bad and erratic behavior. Neighbors and classmates knew he was a big problem. Must always report such instances to authorities, again and again!

The claim of ’18 School Shootings This Year’ is proven wrong:
The stunning number swept across the Internet within minutes of the news Wednesday that, yet again, another young man with another semiautomatic rifle had rampaged through a school, this time at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High in South Florida.
The figure originated with Everytown for Gun Safety, a nonprofit group, co-founded by Michael Bloomberg, that works to prevent gun violence and is most famous for its running tally of school shootings.
“This,” the organization tweeted at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday, “is the 18th school shooting in the U.S. in 2018.”
Our hearts are with all those impacted by the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida today.
This is the 18th school shooting in the U.S. in 2018. https://t.co/YdPLz4zuOS
