Recently Guns and Tactics had a chance to check out the Centralia Police SWAT vehicle. My first thought when I saw this beast was “man this thing is awesome.” Rumor has it she’s a Dodge and a former USAF mule from Ramstine Air Force Base in Germany. The vehicle is completely armored from front to rear including all the glass. It seats six total officers with two up front and four in the rear. The got a turret up top that can handle a .50 cal. The department has owned the SWAT Truck for quite some time and it’s our understanding is that it’s been battle tested, too having taken couple of rounds from an AK-47. Check out the photos we took of this beast!
The Centralia Police Department is divided into two divisions: Services, led by Commander Jim Rich; and Operations, led by Commander David Ross. The following divisions fall under Operations:
The Centralia Police Department dates back to 1889 when Washington became a state and the city of Centralia was incorporated. The Centralia Police Department was officially established by Centralia ordinance 375.
