In the company’s own words, the new Holosun MP3X micro-prism aims to set a new standard in Holosun’s compact rifle optics lineup. It features 3x magnification in a “micro-sized” prism design, reportedly Holosun’s first such offering, that offers an ideal balance of compact proportions and precision aiming.
Whether it’s being used for acquiring targets at close range or making accurate and consistent shots at intermediate distances, the MP3X is designed for a wide range of shooters and an array of varied shooting situations and environments.
The Holosun MP3X housing is constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum and the unit itself weighs in at just 8.82 ounces. It includes an etched and illuminated reticle, available in red and green, to provide a crisp point of aim. Either color is available in this one unit, eliminating the need to choose one or the other at time of purchase.
Reticle illumination is adjustable in 10 daylight and two night-vision brightness settings for great versatility in various light conditions. The BDC dot reticle features holdover points to enhance shot accuracy for a wide range of calibers.
The optic itself mounts quickly and securely to any firearm incorporating a picatinny rail system, and it includes a quick-detach mount to ensure effortless mounting and removal. The Holosun MP3X is powered by a reliable and widely available CR2032 battery.
The Holosun MP3X is designed for both astigmatic and non-stigmatic users. It features a generous 6.6-degree field of view and 2.55-inch eye relief for maximum user comfort and quick target acquisition. The 0.25-inch (6.4mm) exit pupil ensures ample light transition without over-illuminating the prism, even when the reticle is activated.
