SPC9 Carbine (16-inch)
The 16-inch-barrel SPC9 (Special Purpose Carbine) was born from a European commission requesting a 9mm carbine with similar ergonomics and handling characteristics to an AR-platform weapon. It incorporates many of the same features found on firearms like the B&T APC9, MP5, and AR-15 into a single, versatile platform. It has been designed to check all the boxes—lightweight, reliable, balanced, accurate, safe, modular. It features minimal recoil thanks to B&T’s effective and innovative hydraulic buffer system. Another unusual feature carried over from the original 9-inch SPC9 carbine is that it integrates two different charging systems—one the traditional rearward-mounted handle familiar from an AR platform, the other a non-reciprocating, foldable handle located above the barrel. Together they give the user a choice to use whatever manual of arms is preferred; both systems are ambidextrous.
