RICHMOND, Va. (Jan. 11, 2022) — German Precision Optics (GPO) has upgraded and is reintroducing the all-new GPOTAC™ 8Xi 1-8x24i first-focal-plane riflescope. This product is German-designed and engineered to bring extreme features for the benefit of the most serious tactical shooters. This GPOTAC™ riflescope is built on a 34mm machined aircraft aluminum main tube and comes standard with iControl™ auto-off illumination, and an upgraded mil-spec horseshoe reticle. It has an 8x zoom factor.
“GPOTAC™ 8Xi is a scope like no other. It’s packed with optical brilliance and technical features expected from a super-premium tactical riflescope,” says Michael Jensen, owner and CEO of GPO, USA. “We have just upgraded this scope optically, making the reticle brighter and larger for those who rely on a 1X reticle visibility in bright daylight.”
The GPOTAC™ 8Xi 1-8x24i FFP riflescope is offered with an iControl™ illuminated mil-spec horseshoe reticle properly located in the first focal plane. It has broad locking metallic milrad turrets, GPObright™ high-transmission lens-coating technology coupled with double HD glass objective lenses, fast focus rubberized ocular, and an extra-wide machined aluminum magnification adjustment ring. This scope has it all. The 34mm tube brings extreme range of adjustment capabilities, well over one hundred inches, and includes an extremely wide-angle field of view sure to please any optical enthusiast. With upgraded illumination technology, it has the newest iControl™ auto-off feature that protects against unnecessary battery drainage so users always have illumination when they need it most. The inverted horseshoe uses reliable glass illumination technology and is repositioned to be immediately visible at 1X in all light conditions. This scope has a retail price of $1899.99.
“When you see this product and compare it to competitive scopes technically, optically, and by price, you’ll see why it will retain its leader position in its price/class space,” says Jensen.
All GPO products purchased in the USA include the GPO, USA Spectacular Lifetime Warranty. Full details of this warranty can be found at www.gpo-usa.com.

In this Tactical Moment episode John discusses “stoppages.” A stoppage is a momentary cessation of the firearm. When you pull the trigger and hear a click instead of a bang, then you know something is wrong. Applying “immediate action” could be the fastest way to fix the problem and get back in the gunfight. Watch this video to learn how to manage a firearms stoppage by applying the immediate action technique.
