The MDX weapon systems is developed to fulfill the broad spectrum of needs by today’s military and law enforcement operations. The family consists of the MDX:505/PDX (5.5″ barrel), the MDX:508 (8.5″ barrel), and the MDX:510 (10.3″ barrel).
The entire MDX line in 5.56 NATO is sponsored by The Maneuver Center of Excellence and part of Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiment (AEWE) in 2020. Maxim is also attending Force-on-Force experiments with the U.S. Army, U.K. Army, and the Australian Army January through March 2020.

Born from the SOCOM PDW solicitation, the PDX is now available in .300BLK. Designed to handle the fierce demands of the USSOCOM community and dominate in close quarter encounters the 18.75″ overall length PDX is the ultimate choice for when concealment and personal defense are non-negotiable. The PDX in .300BLK is shipping with an MSRP of $2295.00

With the same heart and soul of the PDX, the MDX:508 features an 8.5″ barrel, ideal for when maximum concealment and compactness are essential, but not as critical. Every MDX:508 includes Maxim’s HATEBRAKE muzzle booster, 7-sided M-Slot compatible handguard, armorer level adjustable gas block and can be configured with a Maxim Gen6 CQB, Gen7 CQB, or SCW stock or brace. MSRP of $2495.00

The MD:15 is available in 8.5” or 10.3” barrel lengths and is engineered for Law Enforcement Patrol Officers who need an affordable, reliable and accurate AR15 platform rifle. Each MD:15 is equipped with the Maxim HATEBRAKE muzzle booster, Maxim Slim-Line five-sided M-Slot handguard, and can be configured with a Maxim PDW, Gen6 CQB, or SCW stock or braces. MSRP of $1495.00

Maxim Defense committed to developing next-generation tools, equipment, and systems that exceed in the most extreme environments. Today’s short barrel rifles excel in close-quarter encounters but sometimes lack the velocities and terminal ballistics that longer barrels have. To address these concerns, Maxim Defense partnered with Fort Scott Munitions to optimize ammunition loads specifically for SBRs
By making these adjustments, as well as including their TUI (Tumble Upon Impact) technology, the Maxim Defense Ammunition ballistic wound cavities exceed the standards of both Expanding and Fragmenting projectiles. The TUI design of the projectiles tumble all the way down to 500 fps. Maxim Defense Short Barrel Ammunition is the ultimate choice for when close quarter battle and personal defense are non-negotiable. MSRP $27.94 – $36.95

Body armor systems can be found serving in military combat zones, with law enforcement agencies on the daily beat and even protecting the discerning citizen in a home defense situation. The above mentioned groups may have different reasons and missions for wearing body armor, but the primary objective remains the same. That is to protect vital organs from trauma caused by fast moving projectiles, such as a bullet or piece of shrapnel.
Dave talks with Brooke about the Dual Taper Lock system from Blackout Defense. The engineering under the hood of this system is amazing.
