Strike Industries has launched a new brand—Strike Arms—and has released its first serialized component: the Strike Arms Pistol (Compact) Frame. This is a striker-fired polymer frame designed to supplant that of the Glock Gen 3 19.
The SAP-C frame allows users to integrate their preferred G19 Gen 3 parts seamlessly to offer a highly customizable platform. It is also shipped as a complete frame with a lower parts kit already installed, as well as with an aggressive stippled texture out of the box.
SI has improved on the grip angle to mimic the classic 1911 profile, thereby creating a more natural point of aim compared to the OEM frame. An extended beavertail is also integrated and the Glock finger grooves are noticeably absent, allowing users to more comfortably modify their grip and allow the frame to adapt to a wider variety of shooting styles.
The trigger guard features a double undercut and oversized scalloped areas are present for the thumbs to further a more ergonomic shooting experience. A raised, stippled shelf is present near the slide-lock lever to reduce accidental engagement of that control and to double as an indexing point for the support hand’s thumb. “Dynamic Control” cuts are present on both sides toward the front of the frame to assist with recoil management.
Other features include an integrated magwell flare that presents more surface area to aid in quick and smooth magazine insertions, but SI notes the subdued design is intended to maintain carry comfort and reduce conceal-carry printing. A full-length Picatinny rail at the muzzle end allows the attachment of lights, lasers or other accessories of the user’s choosing.
As noted, the SAP-C is a serialized component so all FFL regulations apply to its transfer. Initially, it is available exclusively at Primary Arms (www.primaryarms.com).
